RUST REMEDIATION
Dry ice is gentler than sand — that's the point, and it's also the limit. Blasting alone will not take a rusted panel back to bare metal. What it does is strip scale, grime, and old coating down to sound metal so you can see exactly what you're dealing with. Then we treat what's left.
Our process
Rust remediation is part of an undercarriage blast. We blast to remove scaled rust and clean the surrounding metal, then apply Ospho (phosphoric acid) to neutralize what remains and convert it to stable, prepped metal. Undercoating and paint touch ups are available on top of that.
What we work on
Work trucks and fleet vehicles. Classic and restoration projects. Salt-belt vehicles brought down from northern states, where road salt has been working on the underside for years.
Why dry ice, and why not
Dry ice blasting doesn't damage plastic, rubber and wiring, or drive abrasive into seams the way media blasting can. Converted metal should be top coated, if left bare it will flash rust eventually. However: if rust is eating through the frame, this is not your solution. We don't do structural repair, and we'll tell you that at the assessment rather than after you've paid for prep work. Perforated metal needs a fabricator. What we can do is stop what's still stoppable.
