Large Format & Printer Press

Arctic Blast dry ice cleans leading manufacturer printers such as: Durst, Epson, HP, Canon, Fujifilm, BOBST, Koenig & Bauer, BW Papersystems etc.

What we clean

Vacuum belts and perforated hold down surfaces. Rollers, drums, and tension assemblies. Vacuum plenums and dust collection housings.

Contamination considerations

Ink and paper dust bind into a compacted layer that hand cleaning smears rather than removes. Solvent softens the surface but drives residue deeper into the perforations. Once holes are partially blocked, vacuum pressure drops unevenly across the bed, media lifts, registration drifts, and defects show up as intermittent problems that are hard to trace back to the belt.

Why dry ice, and why not

No water means no swelling of belt material and no drying time before the next run. Clearing the perforations restores vacuum efficiency and extends belt life, moving belt replacement from an unplanned expense to a scheduled one. However: belt materials vary, and improper pressure or dwell time can score surfaces or deform perforation edges. We run parameters we have already proven on this equipment.

Run on a preventative schedule, this is maintenance. Run reactively, it is recovery.
