Why dry ice, and why not
No water means aircraft components and electrical systems go back into service without a drying step, and no media stays behind in a hangar or wellhead assembly. It's the wrong call for heavy field-applied grease on oilfield equipment by itself — that gets a mechanical pass first.
Clean equipment isn't the goal. Equipment your inspectors can actually sign off on is.
